Curriculum Vitae

I am a doctoral student, lecturer, and researcher in the field of North American literary, film, and cultural studies. My research focusses on the politics and poetics of Anglophone genre film, literature, and audio drama. Specifically, my doctoral project investigates temporalities in Indigenous and Black horror film and literature. In the past, I have also worked on British spoken word poetry and poetry performance in the project "Poetry Off the Page," which is based at the University of Vienna, where I also obtained my MA in Anglophone Literatures and Cultures.

Research Interests

  • contemporary speculative literatures (particularly horror)
  • genre film (particularly horror)
  • Indigenous literatures
  • audio drama and podcast studies
  • film theory (particularly psychoanalysis, gender studies, queer studies)
  • poetry performance, spoken word poetry
